over there on April 21st 2007. The night will
consist of DJ's playing your flavorite Hip-Hop,
R&B, Dancehall, and more! This night represents
for the local and Independent Hip-Hop and R&B
artists from the 805 and beyond! What will
separate this night with the other nightclubs is
that we will feature LIVE SHOWS WEEKLY, and will
also be webcasting LIVE from the Drink on 80.5FM
- 805RADIO.COM. This means that we will be
artist interviews, getting club feedback for
songs, and other promotional events. We are
picking up sponsors from all over to be able to
provide free giveaways, and open bar events.

It’s a poetic statement for those seeking to understand the art. Otis Jackson - “The Art of Love”. Otis Jackson was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, and moved to Oxnard, California with his family when he was a young boy. While attending school he sang in the A Cappella choir and lead in the church choir. As a teen he entered several talent shows, singing R & B ballads, winning top honors each time. He was soon noticed and wooed by several record labels including Double Shot and Motown. Otis Jackson has toured and performed throughout the United States on the same venues with such greats as The Whispers, O C Smith, Lou Rawls and Ike & Tina Turner to name a few. He recorded “Message to the Ghetto” on Mega Records. “Turn Out The Lights” on Cal-Full Records, and “Lease On My Heart” on Royal Crest Records. Otis made the unselfish decision to take a sabbatical from music to help raise his family. When his sons were teens and showed an interest in the field of entertainment, Otis Jackson started an independent record label, Crate Diggas Palace Records (CDP Records), invested in his sons and their crew (the Lootpack (inclusive of Madlib, Wild Child and DJ Romes), Oh No, Declaime, Kankick, Medaphoar, God’s Gift, and Kazi) and helped to groom and guide their development in the music of their choice, Underground Hip Hop. Now that his sons, “Oh No the Disrupt” and “Madlib”, are on their own and doing well producing, rapping and DJ’ing globally. Otis and his wife Sinesca Faddis-Jackson have completed a collection of Love songs beautifully encapsulated in the album entitled “The Art of Love”. Otis has asked his sons to join in the project and produce their creative remixes of a couple of songs to be featured on the album. “The Art of Love” was created from this family collaboration. Otis Jackson is now poised to break out of obscurity with this collection of love songs. Otis Jackson exudes emotion. Soulful and deep, his vocalizations expose his heartfelt emotions of love. OK, now I know it is official! When I watched the channel 4 news interview with Trae Briers on “In Your Eyes”, I heard that the Moview, (In which 805HipHop.Com was involved) was being bootlegged on the streets of Harlem. I was like DAMN!! That’s crazy! I really didn’t believe it! I though someone had started a rumor about it and whatever!! Well this last Saturday 9/30/06, I got my roll on to downtown Los Angeles to hit up the LA Garment District! YOU KNOW, I get all my school clothes ther…LOL! Anyways…I was strollin down Santee Alley and amongst all the fake and the real, I noticed someone getting their slang on with the bootleg DVD’s. I saw the JackAss 2 Movie right on the front in the mixture of movies like: Idyllwild, Jet Li’s Fearless, Little Man, and Many More!! When I got to the middle of the selection, I was like DAMN!! It was true…I saw “In Your Eyes” on Bootleg. The Movie by Trae Briers of Oxnard. Now let me tell you, I saw this with my own eyes. The movie wasn’t being sold by a homie from OX at all. It was being sold by the same Bootleggers that run the DVD’s on the streets in LA! On one hand I was real proud of the progress the film has made, and kinda bumbed that the efforts to make profits were being messed up! After thinking for a second, I called up Trae. I told Trae “Dog….Your movie is here on the streets. Some lady is slangin it right now in front of me from the plastic bag! Ill call you back, I gotta take a picture of this shit!!” I got real gangsta with it and broke out the camera phone. When I tool the 3 pics, the lady wasn’t peepin me. She almost caught me once though. After calling Trae back, he told me he had heard about it happening in Harlem, but was surprised that it had finally hit the streets of LA. It was kinda a good feeling that out of all the MAJOR FILMS that have been released, that the Underground has chosen to Bootleg “IN YOUR EYES”. It kinda felt like a compliment in the end! So to let the whole 805 know 1 More Time: GET OUT AND GET YOUR COPY OF THE DVD TODAY!! And do the whole 805 a favor: Get it from BEST BUY, BLOCKBUSTER VIDEO, ETC… NOT THE BOOTLEGGERS!!
