TONY YAYO "PASS THE PATRON" REMIX feat 50 CENT

HOMEBOY SANDMAN’S “THE GOOD SUN” RISES THIS SPRING

Enter Homeboy Sandman and his debut commercial release, The Good Sun(in stores 6-1-2010). The album, his first on NYC indie powerhouse High Water Music, boasts not only the otherworldly lyrical and thematic dexterity that have quickly made Boy Sand a champion of the national talent-based hip hop community, but also his most personal material to date. “The Good Sun is setting a lot of things straight.  If somebody sets someone else straight, it might be referred to as ‘sonning’ them.  I’m ‘sonning’ people with this album—a lot of people.  It’s the good son though. It’s all done with love” says the Queens, NY emcee.

The album’s lead single, “Not Pop,” is an aggressively delivered mission statement delivered over infectious tribal drums, where Sandman swears never to succumb to the fraudulent undercurrent of mainstream media. “You move in Rihanna and Ciara midst/rare are moments where motives are clear as a Sierra Mist.” “Being Haved,” produced by DJ Spinna, (Stevie Wonder, Eminem, Michael Jackson), showcases vintage Homeboy Sandman storytelling, as he narrates his own unique coming of age. “Yeah But I Can Rhyme Though” produced by Ski Beatz (Jay-Z, Camp Lo), is an emotionally charged third person narrative questioning Sandman about his career. Other tracks such as “The Carpenter” and “Strange Planet” highlight the former Public School teacher’s intellect and his unique stands on violence, social issues and sustainable living. Also along for the ride on production are Psycho Les (Beatnuts, Mos Def), underground

Tracklisting and credits for Homeboy Sandman’s The Good Sun LP:

1.) Core Rhythm (produced by Core Rhythm) heroes 2 Hungry Bros and Core Rhythm, and quickly rising newcomers M Slago, and KO Beatz.

A recent recipient of MTV’s Buzzworthy (http://buzzworthy.mtv.com/2010/01/11/the-buzz-on-homeboy-sandman/ ), Homeboy Sandman has already received regular rotation on New York City’s #1 ranked radio Hot 97.1, Sirius Satellite Radio nationally, and BBC radio internationally. He appeared on DJ Spinna’s critically acclaimed “Sonic Smash” album and has been featured in Blender Magazine, XXL Magazine, and The Source. His live show chops include 9 shows at last months South By Southwest Music Festival, The Roots Presents, The Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival, and 3 special guest appearances on last years Rock The Bells.

It’s the dawn of a new era and in an age where health care reform and economic issues are no longer strictly political issues, fans are demanding more from artists—Homeboy Sandman is more then up for the challenge “the sun is rising and it’s a new day. Illumination is on deck!  It's been a long night, like one of those Alaskan Polar six month nights, or that zombie movie where it was night for a month. There's been heavy zombie activity taking place, but here comes the sun; finally!”

READ INFO BELOW:

When Kanye West said there would be no Auto-Tune on Jay-Z's upcoming Blueprint 3, he meant it emphatically: The first single off Jigga's third Blueprint, fittingly called "D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)," debuted June 5th on New York hip-hop station Hot 97. The No I.D.-produced song, which samples heavily Janko Nilovic and Dave Sucky's "In the Space," takes aim at the ringtone-happy state of rap while also calling for a cease-and-desist to all artists using the voice manipulating Auto-Tune. Ironically enough, Kanye himself is one of the most notorious users of the technology, as evidenced by his 808s & Heartbreak.

The premiere of "D.O.A." was the culmination of weeks of rumors surrounding Jay-Z, as the rapper was reportedly considering record label suitors to distribute his Blueprint 3 after buying out his Island Def Jam contract. While there's been no confirmation, Jay-Z - who was seeking a distributor for both TB3 and the output released through his Roc Nation label with Live Nation - will distribute 3 through Atlantic Records, while his Roc Nation artists will be distributed through a deal with Sony Music, MTV reports. The Blueprint 3 will reportedly be released on September 11th, exactly eight years after the original Blueprint hit stores.
Last night at Hot 97's Summer Jam all-star concert in East Rutherford, New Jersey, Jay-Z made a surprise appearance to perform "D.O.A." with T-Pain, another producer and artist who has had a hand in Auto-Tune's return to prominence. As Jigga says in "D.O.A.," "You rappers singing too much, Get back to rap, you T-Pain-ing too much." Check Nah Right for video of Jay's "D.O.A." at Summer Jam.

Oxnard, CA underground emcee Roc C and Brooklyn (by way of Orlando)-based producer IMAKEMADBEATS aka NeMo have teamed together to form The Transcontinental and bring hip hop heads everywhere their collaborative self titled debut LP, The Transcontinental (Koch Entertainment). “Still Here,” the first single from the forthcoming album, offers heads a sneak peek at the sounds of a duo set to shake up the scene with a sound that combines the soulful beats and hard-hitting lyricism.

Since making his mic debut on Oh No’s single “Move Pt. 2” (produced by J. Dilla), Roc C has made a name for himself with his Stones Throw debut All Questions Answered and a slew of other projects. IMAKEMADBEATS is currently prepping his self-titled debut compilation, featuring Black Milk, Rahzel, Mic Geronimo, Roc C, Steele (of Smif –n-Wessun), and more. The duo will be promoting the release of The Transcontinental with their Smash Mouf Tour, a North American fall trek also featuring emcee/producer Oh No that will also resume for an overseas run in early 2009.

PLATINUM RAPPER TWISTA ADDRESSES MEDIATAKEOUT.COM RUMORS

(NEW YORK, NY – May 18, 2009) — On May 13th, 2009 the blog site, Mediatakeout.com made incorrect speculations and originated the rumor that Platinum selling recording artist, Twista and adult film star Pinky were sexually intimate and expecting a child.  These accusations are 100% FALSE and UNTRUE.  Twista notes, “I want to inform everyone that not only is Pinky NOT PREGNANT by me but I’ve never had any type of sexual encounters with her.  I ain’t mad at her but thanks for promoting my new album, Category F5 which will be out in July”.

Twista cherishes his family and close friends and doesn’t want false stories like these to harm his loved ones.  Respectfully he says, “I have the best fans ever and I ask that you respect them and my loved ones”.  As he gears up for the release of “Category F5,” Twista notes, “The hustle never stops. Over the last couple of years, I’ve just been thinking about what the fans want from me. And that was motivation enough to bring out another classic album.”

Wu-Tang Clan, GZA has established himself as a perennial force in hip-hop over his 13+ year solo career. Recently, GZA's contributions have driven the phenomenal success of the 2008 Wu-Tang Clan reunion album "8 Diagrams" as well as two of independent hip-hop's recent flagship releases: Think Differently Music: "Wu-Tang Meets The Indie Culture" and the DJ Muggs/GZA collaboration "Grandmasters."

With an entrenched and rabidly loyal fan base, "ProTools" marks the long awaited return of one of hip-hop's most revered and respected emcees.

And just wait until you hear what he has to say!!! The album's first leak track, "Paper Plate," finds GZA going in hard at a Vitamin Water mogul on this ihiphop.com exclusive.

With "Paper Plate," GZA is in top form, a true veteran showcasing the incomparable style that has defined witty battle rap for the greater part of a decade.

Spitting 104 bars of straight heat, GZA cuts the legs out from under the G-Unit impresario, reminding us all how sweet beef on wax really sounds. Using metaphor and lyrical imagery (and without employing a single curse word), GZA gives it to us "burnt & crispy."

True heads stand up...The Genius has finally returned.

Having remained viable since being hand-picked in 1995 by one of the greatest musical icons; Tupac Shakur, the Outlawz are perhaps one of the most slept-on groups in the biz.

However, with the launch of their new album, We Want In, throughout the US, UK, Europe, New Zealand & South Africa, we intend to change that with you as an integral part of that awareness.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE NEW OUTLAWZ SINGLE

For the past 13 years, The Outlawz have made significant contributions to the urban music genre and have been on the grind for mainstream recognition, to no avail. Nurtured under the wings of the late great 2Pac, The Outlawz are the unsung heroes and underdogs of the Hip-Hop movement.

With an impressive discography that includes features on LPs such as Loyal to The Game, Better Dayz, All Eyez On Me, Makaveli, Novakane, and Still I Rise, this band of street warriors have proven themselves to be one of the most influential rap groups since NWA.  Now, Outlawz EDI, Young Noble, and Kastro are slated to release We Want In, on August 5th on 1 Nation Entertainment and Gold Dust Media labels. Dubbed “The Street LP”, We Want In boasts a mix of ghetto gospel that lyrically makes plain their demand for the industry as a whole and the young cats that were both inspired and influenced by the Lawz to make space. The evolution of the Outlawz is apparent and the resilient rappers are ready to stake their rightful claim in the rap game.
